Seriously my wife and I can’t thank Ethan, Spencer, and NOVA Canine enough. Tisbury went to him with extreme leash reactivity, a tendency at lunging at people and was a lot for us to handle. We just got back to DC from 3.5 weeks at our parents houses and everyone couldn’t believe the difference in Tisbury now compared to before. He is such a well behaved boy and so attentive to us and we don’t feel stressed at all anymore just having to walk him out to go to bathroom. His place board is his best friend and he will stay there for hours and listens so well to our commands. We shower him with love as his reward and it truly has made all the difference by getting him trained by Ethan. Ethan has been helpful in keeping up with tisburys training post him being there and answering our questions quickly whenever we text. And shout out to Spencer as well for editing videos and creating content trust ewe as the dog owner scan thoroughly enjoy and learn from. We sent Bowie to NOVA Canine Academy for two weeks. Bowie came back with a calmer demeanor even though he is still a puppy. He now follows our commands more consistently and doesn’t jump up on us for hugs which we don’t mind but wouldn’t want him to do it to others because he is a big dog and other folks who don’t know him could become afraid of a Doberman jumping up towards them. He has always been friendly but we wanted him to approach us and other in a manner which his excitement doesn’t come across as aggressive. After his training, he follows our commands without constantly offering him treats and sits by us rather than barking and wanting to show what a protective dog he is. Ethan’s positive reinforcement approach worked real well and we are following his approach which lets us have people over our house by introducing them to Bowie in our terms and getting him to understand that they
are okay to be at his house! He just loves
people and we are following Ethan’s training to allow Bowie to make friends with our guests, too.

Ethan with NOVA Canine Academy trained my dog, skipper, a cavapoo, so well. We sent him to a three week board and train and he came back an amazing, off-leash dog. Best training out there for anyone looking  looking to get there pet to fit in right at home.  The comparison between when he left and now is night and day how he listens to my commands and overall  just how he is he is a well mannered family dog.  i feel more comfortable and confident he will not lash out at me. Ethan from Nova Canine Academy is amazing! He has worked with my 3 year old Labradoodle Cavu on cleaning up some bad habits I was never able to correct after his basic puppy training. Cavu is a shy dog and Ethan prioritized earning Cavu’s trust and building a relationship with him during his training.
