Our Philosophy at NOVA Canine Academy
At NOVA Canine Academy, we strive to be the highest quality dog training service in the DC area. We are committed to not just training dogs... we’re about training people. We don’t want to simply give clients a fish; we want to teach them how to fish. Our goal is to help every client not only understand their dog’s behavior but also learn how to effectively communicate with their dog, fostering a lifelong bond built on trust and understanding.
We are building a community of the best dog trainers in the DC area, and we’re passionate about helping as many clients as possible. By joining our team, you’ll be contributing to this vision, ensuring that our clients don’t just see results but also feel empowered to continue training and growing with their dogs.
Trainer Pay Structure and Advancement
At NOVA Canine Academy, we value our trainers and believe in rewarding hard work and excellence. Once trainers become NCA Certified, they will enter a probationary period for the duration of training 3 dogs. During this time, the pay is slightly lower to ensure that all expectations and standards are met. After successfully training 3 dogs, trainers will graduate to full-time trainer status.
Our pay structure is designed to be competitive, rewarding, and performance-driven. Trainers are paid a flat fee per dog per week, ensuring stability and consistency in income. On top of that, trainers have the potential to earn up to $800 in bonuses for each dog that receives a 5-star review from clients.
For example:
- A trainer handling 2 dogs at a time for a year without receiving any 5-star reviews will earn approximately $57,600 annually.
- A trainer handling 3 dogs at a time, consistently receiving 5-star reviews on every dog, can earn up to $115,200 annually.
This is an exciting opportunity for trainers who are passionate about delivering exceptional service and want to see their hard work reflected in their paychecks. The potential for growth is immense — both professionally and financially — and we are looking for dedicated trainers who are committed to excellence and building a lasting career with us.
