With over 1 million dog owners following across major platforms, NOVA Canine Academy has significant untapped potential across e-commerce, digital products, and online education. This role exists to fully own and scale that monetization.
Position Summary
The Head of Monetization and Growth is responsible for owning and scaling all revenue generated from NOVA Canine Academy’s existing audience. This role focuses on increasing net profit through e-commerce, online courses, digital products, and backend marketing systems.
This is a performance-driven role designed for an operator who wants ownership, accountability, and upside. The content, audience, and brand already exist. The focus of this role is execution, optimization, and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Analytics
- Establish and track key performance indicators including revenue, profit, AOV, and LTV
- Implement high urgency and high impact actions first
- Make data-driven decisions and adjust strategy quickly
- Build repeatable systems for long-term revenue growth
Revenue and Growth Ownership
- Own net profit growth across e-commerce and digital products
- Identify and execute monetization opportunities within the existing audience
- Test, optimize, and scale offers while protecting long-term brand trust
E-commerce
- Optimize Shopify store performance and conversion rates
- Develop and test bundles, upsells, cross-sells, and pricing strategies
- Increase average order value and customer lifetime value
Digital Products and Courses
- Manage and optimize existing online courses and digital products
- Build and scale evergreen funnels and backend systems
- Plan and execute launches when appropriate
Marketing Systems
- Own email and SMS monetization strategies
- Optimize funnels, checkout flows, and post-purchase experiences
- Track performance metrics and report on revenue impact
Qualifications
- Proven experience growing revenue through e-commerce and or digital products
- Strong understanding of funnels, offers, pricing, and conversion optimization
- Comfortable being directly accountable for revenue and profit outcomes
- Ability to work independently and prioritize high-impact initiatives
- Strong analytical and communication skills
This role is not intended for social media managers or entry-level marketers.
Requirements
- Must reside in or around the DC area (Northern Virginia, DC, or MD).
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in dog training.
- Must be able to board 1-3 dogs at your residence for 4-6 weeks at a time.
- Must have reliable transportation to pick up and drop off dogs.
- Must have a smartphone to track training progress and communicate with clients.
- Must be proficient with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
- Must successfully complete our training course and meet NCA’s certification standards.
- 1099 Contractor status: This is a contractor position, offering flexibility and autonomy over your work schedule.
Compensation
- Base salary of $3,000 per month
- Performance-based revenue share of 15 percent of incremental net profit generated above the current baseline
- Revenue share paid quarterly, with clear tracking and documentation
- Opportunity for performance bonuses
Compensation is directly tied to performance and has no ceiling.
